As Director Supply Chain Management Department, Ms. Opute plans and manages the operations of local and international procurement to ensure an uninterrupted supply of equipment and materials for the Institute and supported health facilities. She also coordinates a comprehensive system that enables short and long-term projection and analysis of procurement activities.
Ms. Opute is responsible for making sure that the process of awarding contracts follows due procedures, is competitive, and delivers the required quality results. She supervises proper negotiation with vendors and timely delivery of items to meet the Institute’s goals and objectives and also ensures that users’ needs are met at the right quality, right quantity, right time, right source, right price, and right place but with the compliance to the standard operating procedure.
Her more than 20 years of experience is in providing supply chain management, procurement, and administrative solutions to organizations. She is a graduate of Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Languages. She also holds a Master’s Degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and a Masters in Business Management (MBA) from Nile University Nigeria.
Ms. Opute is a Certified International Procurement Professional and has attended several certification trainings both within and outside Nigeria on supply chain management, procurement, negotiation, performance management and leadership skills. She also obtained a Diploma in Health Care Management from Pan-Atlantic University in 2022
